Oliandra

A dear friend of mine was kind enough to travel back from Lithuania with a log that had been immersed in river water for over 200 years. It took a bit of communication in order to find the right dimensions that would both fit this log into a suitcase and be large enough to make the top of a bass. The first attempt at this bass failed and was immediately burned in a fire pit. Fortunately, Oliandra did not suffer the same fate and there was enough wood left to bring another bass into the world. As my friend is now a dual citizen, it is only fitting that Oliandra features both Eastern European oak and North American red oak along with a potpourri of woods fitting of a world traveler.
