Born during the pandemic of 2020, there is no bass quite like Max. Made mostly from materials found in my garage, this bass has earned the nickname Max, the Apocalypse bass. The butcher block body was made from hardwood cabinet samples and finished with rusty nails and fire. Although the purpleheart accents look like a badge of honor, they allow Max to be more versatile. Max also features a wooden bridge made from brass and cocobolo that give this P bass inspired instrument character and warmth. Max is currently fitted with flat wound strings and passive electronics. Although much of this sentiment is tongue and cheek, if the world was coming to an end, I’d grab a P bass.
