Like Oliandra, the tone wood for Lukas is Lithuanian Bog Oak that has been immersed in river water hundreds years, giving the wood depth and contrast. After a failed attempt at using this wood, the original bass was turned into firewood leaving just enough for Lukas and Oliandra to be created. There is a great man in Lithuania that I have never met that gifts me wood on occasion, and Lukas is named after his grandson that lives here in the United States. Don’t be fooled by the looks; Lukas packs a punch when it comes to tone and cutting through a mix.
