The storytelling has been upped with the Lumière basses. They have been become more personal, and the connection that a musician has with each instrument has grown as my building philosophy has evolved. Beth is a tribute to my sister who passed away far too young in 2018. At the time I had all of the materials for Beth, and was in the process of building an entirely different bass. As part of the healing process I began to design something special and like nothing I had ever played. It was through this process I developed the Lumière concept. Beth is by far the most complex bass that I have ever built, but it is about the connection that I have with this instrument every time that I play her that makes her truly special. It is my goal to make every Lumière bass as special to the owner as Beth is to me.
