Lucinda Clips

I was given a log of cedar from a neighbor that no longer wanted the tree in his yard. After sitting in his garage for six years, it sat in mine for another year. It was not until two weeks before leaving to experience the total solar eclipse in Idaho that the concept for Lucinda was born. All of her features are inspired by this event including a pickup cover in the form of the dark side of the moon, a handmade bridge in the shape of the Grand Tetons mountains and a cedar top to signify the corona of the eclipse. The finish had barely dried before she was being bathed in the light of the first total solar eclipse to hit the United States since 1979.
