Corinne

Before I began building instruments I was gifted two car loads of wood from a local woodworker that was moving. Early on, I decided that I would create a bass exclusively from the wood that I was given. Corrine’s top is made from laminated cherry and her body is comprised of a range of woods that gives her a unique style. Perhaps that most unusual feature is her red oak fingerboard. Plainly put, this decision was made as it was the only piece of wood that was wide enough to create one. Fortunately, coupled with tape wound strings, red oak gives Corrine a stunning voice that is like no other. As she is named after my only daughter, this seems fitting.
